Solitude

1 Feb

And when waves are crashing at you from every direction, may your soul be your anchor, and your feet keep you grounded. And wherever this life decides to take you, may you never forget your heart at home. May you take every piece wherever you go. May you remain in the state of solitude, and never again feel alone.

JUST BE…

Although It would be lovely to be alone on the top of a mountain as the ray of colors start rising with the sun, I do not believe that you truly need that in order to experience solitude. Solitude, to me, is a state of being. It is the ability to hear, and listen to your heart at all times; weather it be in midst of a moonless night, or the in the middle of the brightest city. It is the state of being perfectly alone; with the knowing that, when living from the heart, loneliness does not exist.

Shut your eyes and go…
to a place where only you know.
A place that cant be bought or sold.
A place that your heart will hold.
A place that no one can break,
A place that no one can take.
A place that belongs to you,
where only your spirit tells you what to do.
Reach out your hand to a place that is yours.
Solitude is waiting behind every door.

”…In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.” ~ William Wordsworth (thanks to D.R for showing me this)

Thank you, Michelle. I have had the idea for the grounded picture for so long, and was having a difficulty setting it up perfectly. I am so excited that it came out the way it did. Turns out, all I needed was an extra hand. Jo was so patient with me, and I am so grateful that she was willing to help me. Oh, the beauty of best friends that put up with all your craziness. haha(:
